Don’t sleep on winter weddings! While June through October may be in high demand, consider crisp white winter landscapes that offer a (literally) cool alternative to the warm greens and golds of spring and fall. Every season has its beauty and winter is no exception. And as we are leaving the winter season, you've got enough time to start planning and secure a venue by next winter. You'd be booking in the off season- which is bound to be a steal!

Reno and Tahoe are doable destinations with plenty of reasons to stay and play all weekend! Your daytime playtime easily turns into hopping nightlife.

One of our favorite wedding shoots took place in winter, on New Year’s Eve, in the Reno-Tahoe area, at Tannenbaum Event Center. The bride absolutely slayed in her white gown against a snowy backdrop. The backdrop was a crisp winter wonderland. Instead of relying on warmth of late spring to early fall season, the warmth was all found in the glow of the indoor lodge reception afterward, which lasted long enough to ring in the New Year.

As the outdoors darkened and the temperature dropped, the party heated up. Our bride sparkled in cocktail attire and jewels with a vintage 1920's glam vibe. Everyone easily stayed toasty inside while partying the night away. We set up a classy Portrait Booth using the venue's fireplace as a cozy backdrop. Friends and family were able to take stunning upscale portraits of themselves, cocktails in hand, which were printed onsite for them to take. It was the perfect pairing of upscale with rustic and homey.

Winter weddings can be an absolute vibe. Picture a frosty outdoor scene contrasted with the comfort and coziness of an indoor reception. It's your chance to feature a unique reception with a bonfire, hot chocolate bars, or a Smore's bar and roasting station, marrying intimacy with party atmosphere and rustic setting with glam vibes. And if you book a destination spot like Reno or Tahoe, there are cabins and an energetic nightlife just a step away for those who might stay and play all weekend!
